Brew Review: Tap It Brewing IPA

by Kelli H. on January 15, 2014

Beer: Tap It Brewing Co. IPA
Date: 1-5-14
Type: IPA
Location: San Luis Obispo, CA
Availability: Year round
Alcohol: 7%

Appearance: Clear, tiny bubbles, copper colored

Aroma: Citrus, hops, and slight malt with a tad of pine

Body & Texture: Full bodied, good carbonic bite going on

Aftertaste: BITTER, baby! Some malt backbone but not too much

Overall Impression:
My dad brought me this beer to do a brew review, and I’m so glad he did! It’s a great IPA! It’s so hoppy and has a wonderful aroma. It’s really resiny and almost has a weed-like characteristic which sometimes can be too much for people, but for us hop heads, you know you like it. I also liked how clear this beer was, it was truly a beautiful IPA. Overall I have no complaints about this beer, except that I haven’t seen it before. I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes open for it in the future.  This is a beer I’d like to keep in my fridge. Do yourself a favor and buy it if you see it around. You won’t be disappointed.
