Coronado Brewing Co. Islander IPA

by Kelli H. on February 5, 2013

Name: Coronado Brewing Co. Islander IPA
Date: 2-3-13
Type: IPA
Location: Coronado, California
Alcohol: 7%
Price: $3.99/22 oz
IBU’s: 75

Aroma: Sweet, lightly hopped

Appearance: Clear, lots of small bubbles rushing to the top, golden

Body & Texture: Really smooth, nicely carbonated, feels light-medium bodied for an IPA

Aftertaste: Clean hoppy flavor

Overall Impression:
I’m really happy my dad bought this beer for our little Super Bowl get together. The aroma had me a little worried that I wouldn’t like it too much. On the other hand, David was able to totally distinguish the hop aroma without even reading the back! At $3.99 a bottle, this is a great buy and totally worth it! I think it’s a really solid IPA. I’d drink it again, buy it myself, and I’ll definitely be looking forward to trying more of Coronado’s beers.

Ummm $3.99 for a big bottle? That’s fabulous. I’m a hop fan, and at that price/ Yes please! Your dad can send some my way, I would be okay with that! 😉

This is one of my favorites from coronado brewery. And with there new recipe with a higher abv and little hoppier taste is always a plus
