Appearance: Very light golden, straw color, small white head retention.

Aroma: Mostly citrusy hops.

Body & Texture: Light bodied, citrusy hops in the taste, refreshing.

Aftertaste: Very light bitterness. Reminds me of citrus pith. A slight maltiness. Very clean tasting.

Yes, my “bun” is sliced cucumber…

Overall Impression:

I drank this beer for Ryder’s birthday! I try not to drink during the week unless we’re celebrating a birthday. Of course I had to open one for my puppy boy’s special day. Before I opened the beer Ryder and I had just went on a 2 mile jog, so I was hot, and ready for something to quench my thirst.

I was so happy that my mom brought me one of these to try on Mother’s Day. I was very excited to taste Easy Jack since I’ve been a fan of Firestone Walker for quite some time now, and haven’t yet tried Easy Jack. I don’t know why but I haven’t been able to find it at my local shops.

This beer was ridiculously easy to drink. I guess that’s not surprising considering this is a low alcohol IPA. I love a good session IPA and I think this may be my new favorite. It’s brightly colored, has a great aroma, is light bodied, and has no sweet after tastes. As the beer warmed up the carbonation died down a bit and was almost flat making it even easier to drink.

Easy Jack paired excellently with my middle eastern inspired turkey burger that I had barbecued. I’d definitely say this beer can handle some heat. The burger had jalapeño and red pepper flakes in it and it took it like a champ.

This is a beer that I would buy in a heart beat, that is if I could find it! I think it’s an all around easy drinking beer, perfect for after work or on a weekend sunny day. It definitely made me excited for future warm days out on the back deck or sunny days at the beach.

This beer was so good! I’m sad I only got to have one sip though! Hopefully we can get more of this real soon. Look at that cute birthday boy! 🙂 Awww… he’s the best. <3

I wish it was easier to ship booze because I would totally send you some local Alberta brews in exchange for some California ones!

The shipping alone would be more than the beer! lol. You’ll just have to make a CA trip and get it straight from the source. 😉 It would be interesting to try some Alberta brews. I’ve never had a Canadian beer.
