Slow Cooker Buffalo Turkey Chili {Paleo}

by Kelli H. on January 4, 2015

I’ve had this post in the back log for quite a while now. I made this last month year when David was recovering from his wisdom teeth surgery. He may or may not have pureed this chili…he still loved it! I’ve been wanting to share it, but I was waiting until after the holiday’s. This buffalo chili is mighty tasty! I love that it’s paleo (if you don’t add the blue cheese) and there are only whole ingredients in it (if you don’t count the buffalo wing sauce). Okay, so maybe it’s not the absolute healthiest but it seemed pretty dang good to us.
During the winter I tend to pull out my crockpot at least once or twice a week. It’s seriously the best! Not only does it give everything so much flavor, I love that you just put everything in it, set it, and walk away. No stirring and no worrying that it’ll be burning on the bottom. That really is a life saver for busy people. I can’t praise the crockpot enough.
I’ve seen buffalo chili’s on Pinterest and that was my inspiration for creating one that would fit David’s and my diet. Though Franks has at least one questionable ingredient in it, overall I don’t think it’s that bad, and it’s such a unique spicy flavor that I had to make one. This chili isn’t too spicy, but it definitely has some heat to it. If you’re not a fan of spicy, tone it down to maybe 1/4 cup hot sauce. If you’re really a spicy lover, brave it with 1/2 cup. David and I fall in the middle.
Overall I think you’ll be happy and satisfied eating this chili that cooked in the crock pot all day. It’ll warm ya from the inside. Enjoy!
