Currently

by Kelli H. on November 14, 2014

I’ve been pretty dang busy the last two weeks and I haven’t had enough time or daylight to dedicate to photographing new recipes. My friend, Aubrey, recently did this “Currently” post so I thought it’d be fun if I participated and filled out the survey. I used to love survey’s as a pre-teen so it was fun to fill one out again. Feel free to take one of the words and fill it out and let me know what you’re “blank” currently. Have a great weekend! I hope to have more fun for the blog next week.

CURRENTLY

Making: A blog post.
Cooking: I just finished making a Sweet Potato, Turkey, Apple Soup with a side salad. I also pulled a spaghetti squash out of the oven that needs to be shredded to prepare for tomorrow’s dinner.
Drinking: Water! It’s always wah-tah.

Reading: The Source, which is the 2nd book in the Witching Savannah Series. It’s a little silly but I’m liking it. I try to read at least one chapter a night. I get sleepy to easily.
Wanting: A house!
Looking: At my computer screen. Too literal? David always says I’m too literal.
Playing: with the real estate market. I’m constantly browsing Trulia.

Wasting: time on the internet. Mostly dreaming about kitchens.
Sewing: I have no idea how to sew. I took a class in 7th grade for 1/4 of the year. I didn’t learn much.

Wishing: It were Saturday so I would be wine tasting in Anderson Valley with friends.
Enjoying: Being busy at work. I love to be busy at work. It makes the day fly by.
Waiting: For the holidays and some time off work to begin.

Liking: That David and I are eating paleo most of the time. It’s so much easier to be healthier during the week when your significant other isn’t having a drink every night tempting you.
Wondering: Where I’ll find a dress/outfit to wear to David’s work holiday party.
Loving: Yoga for 15-20 minutes every morning before work. It totally puts me in a positive mood to start the day.
Hoping: For rain. I’d love to have a very wet winter! I want to go cross country skiing this winter with my mom and Ryder again.

Marveling: at Ryder. Always Ryder. He constantly makes me smile. Doesn’t that picture make you marvel? How does he manage to get so much water outside of his mouth?
Needing:  A vacation. I’d love to get away for the weekend. Definitely looking forward to Thanksgiving weekend.
Smelling: I’m not smelling anything at all. I did smell the little “energy” ball my mom gave me this morning made of almond meal, walnuts, dark chocolate, and I’m not sure what else. It smelled and tasted heavenly.

Wearing: Blue capri yoga pants & a gray Girls on the Run shirt. I know, so stylish.
Following: my gut with eating. It’s nice not being on Whole30 anymore but still practicing healthy eating habits on the regular.

Noticing: that David and I live in a really beautiful neighborhood and I should try to enjoy it more while we’re here.
Knowing: that the rest of 2014 is going to fly by! Seriously.
Thinking: that I need to have David schedule an appointment for the Tacoma to get checked out. Its steering wheel keeps vibrating between 55-65.
Feeling: like I need to get up and shred the spaghetti squash, brush my teeth, read, and sleep.
Bookmarking: As Aubrey mentioned, more like Pinning: dream kitchens and paleo treats.

Confessing: that I haven’t missed beer and I thought I would after Whole30.
Opening: up to the idea that it may take quite a bit of time to find the house we’re looking for.

Giggling: about Goose! aka Ryder. He’s such a dorky boy.

Loved this! And yes, 2014 is going to fly by! Why do the years just keep going faster and faster? (I feel sooo old saying that!)

Ryder is so cute! And YAY for morning yoga — I’m with you there!!

Ah yes, I remember the days of house hunting on Trulia… do you have the app on your phone? Totally addicting. Like anywhere we would drive through that I liked, I’d check the app and see what was for sale, ha!

Loved this post! Totally going to borrow the idea sometime 🙂 And I LOVE Navarro Vineyards. The family of my friend from college (her in laws) own it! We went there for her baby shower, so pretty!

I don’t have the app on my phone — Thank God! I’d probably drive everyone nuts with that. David had it. I think he may have deleted it because he was spending so much time on it. haha.

I remembered your post that you went there last year, so I made it a must-see while we’re out there. 🙂

I’m hoping for rain too! We need it so bad.

What are you doing for yoga in the morning? Do you use a video or is it just a few moves? I need to start adding it in to my routine. It always makes me feel good!

I’ve been doing Tone It Up’s three different yoga videos that range from 15-20 minutes. I think two of them are under Bikini Series and one is Love Your Body.

Actually, I didn’t delete it off of my phone! Though, being a professional computer geek, I’m always at a computer, so I don’t really need to use the app much. But I’d say we’re definitely addicted to Trulia! (Especially me).
