It’s such a cliche; but I can not believe it’s been one year since I married David. I haven’t had many posts about our wedding, but it really was the best day of my life. I’d never felt more beautiful, and I’d never felt more loved than I did on that day. We were so lucky to have such a beautiful wedding filled with our friends and family. July 13th is a day I’ll never forget.
Wedding planning was a lot of work, and I am happy that it is behind me. I do not miss all the craziness and stress of planning a wedding, but I will always miss that day and look back on it with the best memories.
Is there anything better than professing your love for your partner in front of everyone you love? I’d never felt more support than I did that day. It’s funny to look back at the past year and how fast it’s gone by. David and I have been a couple for 12 years and married for only one year. It almost doesn’t seem fair to start the clock all over.
I’m lucky that I’ve got to spend the last year with David by my side. He is my best friend and my other half. He helps balance me out, and I believe I do the same for him. My favorite thing about David is his laugh and there’s nothing in this world I like more than to make him laugh. Whenever I get him to crack up I feel like a million bucks, and his laugh is so infectious.
Many people talk about how marriage is hard work. I’m grateful that we haven’t felt that way. Generally we’re happy people who get along wonderfully. Of course there’s occasionally arguments but who wouldn’t have those when you live together for years? I try to focus on the happy times we share and dwell on those moments while also looking forward to our future together.
