Overall Impression:
David and I bought this beer a few weeks back to try. I’d been really want to give Green Flash’s saison a try. I like trying new saison’s, but I don’t seem to try that many. We went up to my parents house one weekend to feed their cat while they were out of town, we tried some beers, and played ball with Ryder in their backyard. The weather was not winter-like at all. It was a beautifully sunny January day. As for the beer, I’m honestly not impressed. I was conflicted in writing that. The beer overall is enjoyable, and I really like that it has a low alcohol percent, but I was left a little underwhelmed. I’ve had way better saison’s and I don’t even try that many! One in particular that I can think of the top of my head as better is Tank 7. What does Green Flash’s saison have going for it? Great carbonation which led to amazing burps, a light tasting beer with low alcohol, a beautiful color, and a nice bottle. When it comes down to it, I think we paid about $11.99 for a 4-pack of it. Am I happy I tried it? Yes! Would I buy it again? No! Would I drink it again if it were offered to me? Yes! So, as you can tell I’m conflicted. While I like the beer, I just don’t think it’s worth the price.

I love that you do these brew reviews! Disapointing that you didn’t love this saison, but I agree that Tank 7 is amazing – one of our favorite beers!

I enjoyed this beer, but I have to agree that there are more tasty options out there as far as Saisons go. Especially for the price. If it was a hot summer day, I think I might consider picking up another 4-pack of this just because of how light and refreshing it is. I would still recommend that people try it, especially people new to craft beer and/or people who just tend to light lighter beers in general.

Thanks for being honest! If it has anything going for it, I would say the label is pretty. 🙂
