Overall Impression:
I’d been seeing this new seasonal in the stores recently and had been wanting to try it. So, a couple weeks ago when my mom and I stopped by Trader Joe’s we picked up a six pack of Accumulation to try during the Niner’s game.

I’m glad we picked this one of up because it’s a fun seasonal. I’m not usually a huge fan of White IPA’s but sometimes they do surprise me, and I think this is one of those times. It’s nice to have a light colored winter seasonal, rather than a bunch of dark colored maltier beers. I don’t know when but at some point I stopped being impressed by New Belgium’s beers, but I’m not sure why, because I pretty much do enjoy all the one’s I try. I think I like their beer in small quantities.

Accumulation kind of reminds me of Alaskan’s Winter Ale I tried last year. The color isn’t the same, but it has that piney hop flavor that’s so great during the holiday’s. I also love the amount of hops in this beer. It tastes like it has less than 70 IBU’s so I think that means it’s well balanced. It’s brewed with Mosaic and Amarillo hops and is inspired by the Colorado sky and what falls out of it during this time of year.

This beer makes me want to be up at my parents cabin in Truckee, drinking one of these by the fire after a day of cross country skiing. It definitely reminds me of winter and makes me excited for cold weather! I’d recommend picking up one six pack of Accumulation this wintery season. It’d be a good beer to have on hand during a holiday party.

Okay, now I want to drink one of these at your parent’s cabin after a long of skiing!! Sounds perfect. šŸ™‚

I’m a fan of lighter beers and the piney hop after taste sounds delicious. I’ll have to remember this next time I’m at TJ’s!
