Overall Impression:
This was a gift from David’s Aunt Suzi for my bridal shower back in June. We’ve been holding on to it for a colder day. After David’s motorcycle class last Sunday (he passed!), and me doing chores pretty much all day long, we were definitely ready to open up this bad boy around 3:45. I’m not a huge connoisseur of porters to be fair, but I do enjoy tasting them. I’m glad Suzi got us this gift because it’s one I wouldn’t have bought for myself. It’s always nice to try beers that I wouldn’t have picked myself.

What I liked about this porter was it’s upfront zippiness from the carbonation. I always enjoy a beer that has great carbonation. The color was what I would expect, and the overall flavors of the beer were pleasant. What I wasn’t a fan of was the aroma. The aroma was pretty strong and kind of burned my nostrils a tad. As long as I didn’t take a deep breath while taking a sip I really enjoyed it. It had those chocolate/coffee flavors that you usually know and love while drinking porters. What I also enjoyed was a smokey flavor I was getting from it.

While I don’t think I’ll buy myself Meantime London Porter, I’m glad I got to try it. I think this is probably a pretty pricey beer according to their website. It was definitely a fun one to try, and if you ever get the opportunity to try it yourself you definitely should!

Congrats to David for passing his motorcycle class! Brandon used to race motorcycles and boy am I glad those days are gone. I’m a big worry-wart!

I bet Brandon would love this. I’ll keep an eye out for it!

I am not looking forward to him being on a bike, but I guess I can’t stop him from doing what he wants…haha You’re lucky Brandon stopped racing!
