Brew Review: Green Flash West Coast IPA
Beer: Green Flash Brewing Co. West Coast IPA
Date: 9-26-12
Location: San Diego, California
Alcohol: 7.3%
IBU's: 95
Aroma: Heavy citrus and hops
Appearance: Hazy copper with a tan head
Body & Texture: Smooth and low carbonation
Aftertaste: As the bottle states; extravagantly hopped
Overall Impression:
Wow, talk about hops! I realize this is supposed to be an extremely hoppy IPA, but why not just call it a Double IPA? I definitely don't think this tastes like a regular IPA. If I wanted a Double IPA, or if I were to buy the biggest hop fan a beer, I'd turn to West Coast IPA. When I'm looking for an easy drinking IPA, I'd turn the other way. I was happy with the aroma, but I didn't really get much of the citrus that was in the aroma in the taste of the beer. I have to say, I wouldn't buy West Coast for myself, because I think it packs too big of a punch for a during the week beer, but like I said, if your a HUGE IPA fan, then I think you'll really appreciate this "extravagantly hopped" beer.

We visited the venue today with the caterer and went over tables and just the flow of everything. We're coming along quite well! Dress is in, venue, photographer, caterer, & DJ is booked. We're making progress! :)
