Beer: Epic Armageddon IPA
Date: 9-22-12
Location: New Zealand
Price: $9.99
Alcohol: 6.66%
IBU's: 60
Aroma: Sweet, citrus, grapefruit
Appearance: Very cool orange color that reminded me of a brightly colored clear pumpkin.
Body & Texture: Full frontal assault of citrus and bitterness!
Aftertaste: Very clean, pretty dry. Only a slight bitterness in the finish that doesn't really linger.
Overall Impression:
To be honest, I had some hesitations going into this beer. Let's just say at $9.99 a bottle, which was slightly less than a 22 oz, I would have never bought it for myself. Luckily, it was one of the three my Dad had dropped off for David and I to taste. I was just a tad worried that it wouldn't be what I was hoping. I'm a hhhuuugggeeee IPA fan, and pretty much biased to West Coast IPA's. I'm so happy to report that it didn't disappoint. I'm actually quite the fan! Now, only if I had a budget that would allow for delicious imported beer...The flavor up front is so full bodied and then it has a totally clean finish. With little aftertaste, I think this would be a great beer to go with food. I'm pretty picky when it comes to pairing beer with food, but I could really imagine eating a pizza with this beer. I also want to point out the color of this IPA. It was a beaut! The color was on fire and reminded me of fall colors. Overall, I'm a fan of this IPA! Someone wanna buy me another bottle?

Love this! Very cool to taste the international flavors of IPA! :)
