You know Ryder had to try some New Dog Town.
I am 100% on board with this pale ale. I first tried it at a friends wedding last month on tap. I could have sworn it was an IPA, but was told it was Lagunitas Pale Ale. I’d never tried New Dog Town before, so David went out shortly after and picked up a six pack. This is a pretty serious Pale Ale. I’m not even sure how it’s not an IPA. It’s funny, because Lagunitas regular IPA only has 45.6 IBU’s, and this pale ale has more. Its got a super bitter up front taste, but in the end its almost like a dry wine, since there isn’t much of an aftertaste. There definitely isn’t an lingering hop flavor. I’d say this is a pale ale for IPA lovers. It’s got a serious edge over Kona’s Fire Rock
and 21st Amendment’s Bitter American
. We’ll definitely be buying it again and again. The price is just right too! Totally an affordable, delicious, craft beer.
