Random Thoughts Thursday

by Kelli H. on January 5, 2012

1. I think I said it on Monday, but Happy 2012! Thanks for still coming back to check out my blog. 🙂

2. I think I’ll share some recent phone pictures this week.

3. My New Years Eve was quiet. It’s okay though, really! I like quiet nights home with the boy & the pup. I made a yummy chicken tortilla casserole for dinner. We opened up this bottle of Moscato Spumante that my friend, Michelle gave me to try. I love sweet sparkling wines, so this was a nice gift! Always a bonus if it’s affordable. We watched Crazy, Stupid, Love (which I liked!), and chowed down on peppermint bark that I won from a giveaway by Gingerbread Bagels. Ended up falling asleep before 11…what can ya do? I was awake the night before traveling back from Kauai until 1:30 a.m. if that makes it any better.

4. During my vacation I ate Starbucks Perfect Oatmeal about 4 days, I think. It’s such a better deal than breakfast at the resort. It’s also perfect for the airport! Thank you, Maren for the suggestion!

5. I wanna be here now.

6. It makes me very jealous knowing there are people there right now doing what I was doing and I’m not.

7. I don’t think I could ever get sick of waking up to this view. Christmas morning, ya’ll

8. How about the morning we were leaving? Nope, still not sick of it.

9. BEST CRAB CAKES EVER! Seriously, I’ve never had better. All thanks to Merrimans.

10. I could never stay forever though. I missed this guy WAY too much!

I’m 8 ways of happy that you loved the oatmeal! I’m sort of obsessed with it. And I’m so envious that you got to go to Hawaii at all. I want to go so badly!

Your new years eve sounds really relaxing and laid back. Also I am jealous that you got to be on the beach for christmas. It looks beautiful! 🙂

There are so many things in this post that I love. First of all, I recently watched Crazy, Stupid Love. I thought it was hilarious and I loved it.

I am also a huge Moscato fan. It is so sweet! I love it on a night when I’m really craving a treat.

Also, I tend to buy Starbucks breakfasts or cafe breakfasts when I’m on vacation to save money.

I love relaxing New Years! Absolutely the best.

I tried the starbucks oatmeal when I traveled for work, and it was definitely the best travel breakfast option I found, too.

Cute puppy doo!
Starbucks oatmeal is bomb. But since they don’t have banana, I shamelessly bring my own.
I want to go on your vacays with you from now on, OK?
Way to win a giveaway! That’s such lovely news.

Happy New Year, friend!

Okay, I’m ready to be back in Hawaii now…… Why does it seem like vacations go by so fast?! It didn’t seem like it was going too fast while we were there, but now that I’m back at work thinking about it I feel like it ended quickly….
Guess it’s time to start planning another vacation. lol.

Thanks for sharing about that wine – I saw it in the store the other day and I was wondering how it was…

It’s not as sweet as other moscatos but I still liked it, especially for the price.

Barefoot Moscato is my FAVORITE alcohol! Will & I aren’t big drinkers, but we both will always take the plunge for a glass of that stuff.
