Raspberry Lemonade Sangria

by Kelli H. on July 1, 2011

Last summer I made these lemonade sangria’s a few times.  I’m dying to have them again! Sometimes when I’m at work and the sun is shining I think about laying by a pool or tanning with a girlfriend and sipping on one of these.

They are the perfect summertime drink.
I recommend making this drink like…RIGHT.NOW. It’s just that tasty!  Share it with some girlfriends or don’t…I feel like I could drink all of it to myself…uh oh, I’m sounding like a lush.
Raspberry Lemonade Sangria
Modified from Cuisine At Home April 2010
1 can frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate (12 oz)
1 bottle sweet white wine (such as Riesling or Gewurztraminer) 750 ml
1 package fresh raspberries
1 lemon, sliced
2 cups chilled club suda
Mix concentrate and wine in a large pitcher until concentrate is dissolved.  Add raspberries and lemon slices; cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour or until chilled and ready to serve.  Just before serving, stir in club soda.
You could also use mixed frozen berries rather than raspberries but I prefer the fresh raspberries in the summer when they’re available.
I recommend using Fetzer Gewurztraminer if you can find it. It’s a pretty cheap bottle and it works wonderfully in this drink.

Oh, tanning “with a girlfriend”, huh? I see how it is! What about “with a boyfriend?!” lol. Just kidding. 😉 I remember this being tasty. I love summer drinks like this. Oh, and that Fetzer Gewurztraminer is super good by itself. Haven’t had that in a while. So glad it’s summer so we can open up a bottle!
