Yayyy! Finally a post where I have more than 1 picture to show you guys. I know most people like looking at blogs that are filled with pictures. I have to say, I am one of them.
Tonight David & I went up to my parents house to have dinner. David was helping them set up their tv/surround sound/whatever else…Their finishing up a remodel and needed some extra help with that. My mom and I stopped at Trader Joes and BevMo after work. We planned a super simple meal of BBQ sausages and a light salad. The salad had a large avocado in it and it was the perfect ripeness. Don’tja love that? I love perfect ripe avocados and I hate a bad avocado. Seems like common sense but a bad avocado can ruin a meal for me. The salad dressing was a cilantro dressing that my mom had been raving about since having a dinner at Shellie’s (her sister’s house). I have to admit, if you’re a fan of cilantro you will most likely love this dressing! I know the sausages don’t photograph very well. Especially since one looks completely burnt. One was chicken mango and the other spinach, garlic, and fontina cheese. I liked the chicken mango one better (burnt looking one).
Of course, we also had beer. I know — living in the wine country you’d think we’d be sipping on a glass of wine but we’re bigger fans of beer. That is, craft beers. That’s not to say we don’t drink wine. 😉 What about you, are you more of a beer or wine person? Or can you not chose between the two? David and I tried Laguinta’s Brewery in Petaluma on our anniversary and tasted this beer called Maximus IPA. At the time it was my favorite that we tasted. Very hoppy but doesn’t leave bitter aftertaste. My kind of IPA.
